Random Reads is a monthly meme hosted by I'm Loving Books to encourage us to read some of the books that have been on our TBR list for a long time and may have been forgotten.
I absolutely love the concept of this meme as I am extremely guilty of constantly adding books to read to my pile but then forgetting about them and moving on to others. This will be a great way to slowly start getting to some of the books I've been wanting to read for years.
I'm using my to-read list on Goodreads as my basis to choose from and after putting the numbers into Random.org (I had 244 books to choose from!) I got given number 213 which just so happens to be:
I only added this officially to my TBR list in June this year when I did a cleanout of my bookcases but I've owned it for at least 3 years so will be glad to finally get to reading it! I'll be sure to post a review as soon as I finish it.

I love it when Random Reads picks a book that's been on my TBR for ages! This month, I was given a relatively new one from January this year, and I actually felt vaguely guilty :p

This is a great meme. It's something that will get me into gear to read all the older books I have that have been forgotten about. I'll probably be like you though and feel a bit guilty if I ever get a recent one :-)

DeleteI picked two this month (I REALLY need to tackle Mount TBR right now) and got one relatively new book from a couple of months ago (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, by Hunter Thompson) and one pretty old one - a bio of Princess Diana, of all things! It's a good mixture - one old, one new, two very different books - so hopefully I'll get them both read! Good luck... :)

DeleteThat book cover is adorable (and this is coming from a cat person!) I'm guilty of adding loads of books on my TBR list. My pick ended up being Covet from JR Ward :0) Hope you enjoy your book!
